Andra Tech Group is a leading group of high-tech precision parts manufacturers.

Equistone Fund VI realised its investment in Andra Tech Group through a sale to funds managed by Castik Capital. As part of the transaction, the Equistone Reinvestment Fund has invested in a minority stake in Andra Tech Group alongside the management team and Castik Capital.

Founded in 1973, Andra Tech Group (formerly Kusters Beheer) comprises nine operating companies that manufacture high-tech precision parts and sub-modules, specialising in prototypes and small to medium-sized batches and large series for its international customer base in industries, including semiconductor, packaging, food, mobility, medical and aerospace. The group has established a strong reputation for its expertise in working with complex metals, plastics and composites.

Since Equistone Fund VI’s investment in 2021, the group’s revenues have increased from €68m to €189m and its workforce expanded to more than 700 employees.

VALUE CREATION

Both organic and external growth have driven the acceleration of Andra Tech Group’s development during the investment period. The group completed three strategic add-on acquisitions in its home market, the Netherlands, to strengthen its market position and expand its technical capabilities, and a fourth acquisition, Mayer Feintechnik, to enter the German market.

The group’s strong organic growth has been achieved through the strengthening and expansion of its international customer base and various initiatives, which included:

• Strengthening of the management team at group and operating company level.
• Investment in two new, state-of-the-art plants with cleanroom facilities to substantially expand the group’s machining capacity.
• Rebranding and rollout of a unified identity across the group.

Operational improvements to further professionalise the group have included establishing group-wide financial planning and reporting processes, simplifying the business structure and implementing an ESG strategy.
